7 inch "Snowmageddon" tire-chain Damascus Knife
In February 2019 there was a snow event in Seattle - "Snowmageddon." At the time I was living in Fremont, as buses went up the hill, they tend to lose their chains. I was just getting into Damascus, and I thought this would be a good source of high-quality metal. So I went about picking up tire chains. Are use these chains to create something called canister, Damascus steel I called these knives made from this material my Snowmageddon knives!
This one has some interesting patterns towards the heel you can make out a piece of one of the tire chains. This Knife has some interesting coloration to it as well. There are hints of blue and green from the tempering.
The handle is made of brass Bloodwood and Wenge.
As with all handmade knives, it has minor imperfections. I encourage you to look carefully at the pictures or schedule time to come by for a look in person!
